Digital Signage

Every event, class, special guest, and offer available to The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa members and guests have a digital sign created to advertise it around campus. Each of them are original files that involve some level of photo editing in Photoshop, include at least one vector-based element from Illustrator, and arranged together in InDesign.

Karina Smirnoff Special Event

When a special guest (such as Karina Smirnoff of Dancing with the Stars) comes to the Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa to provide a weekend series of classes and meet and greets, cohesive marketing is imperative. In these cases, posters, flyers and banners are designed and created in addition to a digital sign to keep the excitement up for the event.

Whenever a provided photo doesn't quite fit the needs of the project, I do what I can to make it work. Ms. Smirnoff’s head shot, while gorgeous, was slightly too revealing for the family-friendly atmosphere, so I altered her dress in Photoshop to cover her up a little more.

Ms. Smirnoff was so happy with the banner, she took it home and it is now hanging in her L.A. studio!

The Gazebo Logo and Menu

For this project, The Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa asked me to create both a logo and menu for the outdoor restaurant that served their three pools. The menus were to be light-hearted yet sophisticated, while matching the oasis that pools provide members and guests.
